How to Convert EPUB Files to Kindle Format

How to Convert EPUB Files to Kindle Format

Even though the Kindle is currently not compatible with EPUB files, you can still use Google Book’s EPUB files (which are free) and convert them to Kindle format. There are a couple of good ways to convert EPUB files into Kindle-compatible formats.

The first way to start converting EPUB files is to download Calibre (& Click that link). Calibre is an e-reader client, e-library manager, but most importantly, an e-book converting machine!

The following is a list of the file types Calibre currently supports:

Input Formats: CBZ, CBR, CBC, CHM, EPUB, FB2, HTML, LIT, LRF, MOBI, ODT, PDF, PRC, PDB, PML, RB, RTF, TCR, TXT

Output Formats: EPUB, FB2, OEB, LIT, LRF, MOBI, PDB, PML, RB, PDF, TCR, TXTT

For Kindle owners the important input formats in that list are EPUB and the two comic-book formats CBZ and CBR. The important output formats are MOBI and PDF — either of which your Kindle can read without a problem. Calibre will sync these files to your Kindle, either through USB or by setting itself up as a server.

If you don’t want to bother with Calibre, there’s also RetroRead, a free site that converts EPUBs from Google Books to Kindle format.

My Town Cheats: How To Level Up Quickly

Here is a tip that will help you level up quickly in the game.

To do it, you must:

1) Fill your land with as many Adobes as you can afford - you get 6 XP for each Adobe built.

2) Use the bulldozer to delete them - you get half your coins back (10 coins)

3) Repeat the process.

Tip: You do not need to connect your Adobes to roads, roads seem to be merely decorative for now.

Also, once you're tired of your Adobe farm, try Gas Stations which costs more per XP, but takes fewer clicks to gain XP!

Enjoy the game.

My Town Cheats Using IPhone App

Hello Friends! Now that you have learned about the MyTown Tips & Tricks it is time to learn about the MyTown Cheats. There is actually only one MyTown cheat worth mentioning and it involves using a third-party iPhone app.

MyTown will only let you pick businesses that are close to your GPS location. This can be very upsetting if you live in an area where there are not many businesses or popular businesses. By using Fake Location it is possible to set a new location and trick MyTown into thinking you're anywhere. This is a great way to check-in to many different businesses, score big bonuses and even purchase properties in busy cities! This MyTown Cheat will only work for users with a jailbroken iPhone.

Here are the Steps to do this Cheat:

Download Fake Location

Launch Cydia - Click the brown Cydia icon which can be found on the iPhone home screen.

Search - Choose search on the bottom navigation bar. Type "Fake Location" into the search field and press "Search".

Download Fake Location - Tap "Fake Location" in the results. Tap "Install" in the upper right corner. Tap "Confirm" in the upper right corner. Allow the app to install and then exit Cydia with the home button.

Set Fake Location - Launch Fake Location by tapping the icon on the home screen. Choose "MyTown" when prompted which apps to fake the location to. Choose a location and press set location. Exit Fake Location.

How to Cheat MyTown

Open MyTown - Open MyTown by tapping the MyTown icon.

Check-in - Choose Check-In and you will now see businesses located by your fake location.

Repeat - Repeat step four in the above section to change the location. Choose popular locations for better results.

Cheating the System

Cheating the system will help you get ahead in MyTown. While cheating is an easy way to get ahead it does create an unfair experience for other players and ruins the fun of MyTown. Using the above MyTown Cheats will quickly cause you to get bored with MyTown and give you an unfair advantage.

If you truly enjoy MyTown and simply want to get ahead, use the MyTown Tips & Tricks  that I complied rather than the cheating. Enjoy the game.

My Town User Guide: My Town Building Guide

Here is another guide in building and expanding your Town in My Town game.

My town is a fun and addicting game. You can build up a bustling metropolis with many different building structures including various styles of homes, businesses, and city buildings such as the supermarket or town hall. You can decorate your city with trees, benches, sidewalk and other items.

The following guide will help you build a better Town, enjoy!

Purchase Buildings

The game has many different types of homes and business buildings that you can purchase with Game Coins and more become available as you level up. Each building will earn you a certain amount of coins and experience(XP) in return.

Collection Timer

Each property has a collection timer that decides when you can earn coins and XP.
You must be online before the collection timer runs out or you won’t get the full amount of coins for your property. Some homes take longer than others to be ready, but reward more coins at the end of that time. You can judge which buildings to get so to maximize your earnings when you're online. Once you collect from a property, you can reset its timer to make the building start working for your next collection.

Free Roads

The roads are free. There are different types of roads including straight, turn, 4 way, and end cap. Some simple trees, shrubs and decos are also free. Use these free items to make your city look nicer.

City Buildings

City Buildings include gas station, supermarket, town hall, grade school, graveyard, airport, fire station, church, airport and football stadiums. These buildings don’t earn you coins they instead give you more experience to help you level up faster.

Free Gifts

You can send free gifts such as buildings, trees and small pond to your MyTown neighbors and friends, in hope that your friends will return the favor by gifting back to you. More gift choices will be available to you as you level up.

Town Expansion

You can expand your town in any direction and give yourself more room to build.
There are two ways to expand your town. The first one requires that you have certain number of neighbors to unlock expansion levels and some game coins.

If you don’t have that many neighbors you can also unlock expansion levels with Town Cash.

Enjoy the game!

Barn Buddy Tips & Tricks: Barn Buddy Crop Tips

Barn Buddy Tips and Tricks: Barn Buddy Crop Tips

Crops like animals need tended and harvested. The extra element here is you not only need to tend to the crops, but also the soil. Fertile soil brings higher harvest amounts. So, to keep crops going you buys seeds, tend to the soil, keep them watered and bug free, and then harvest for dollars.

• In general, the rule of thumb is to invest in high profit crops.

• Pay attention to how fast the crops grow and if they regrow after you harvest (an how often).

• When you are first starting out, to gain Experience Points and Coins you may want to do some of the faster
growing crops, then as soon as possible the more profitable longer growth cycle crops for a higher return.

• The way to optimize crops profits is by planting according to your daily schedule. Do not choose to plant
a crop that takes 6 hours to plant on a day you only have 3 hours scheduled. This opens the door to stealing and damaging by others.

• This is where working with your friends can come in.(see Friends).

• Fertilizer Facts: The lowest grade fertilizer can only be purchased with Coins.

• Higher grade Fertilizer can only be purchased with credit or received as a gift.

• Flowers can be expensive, but recent changes to the rules have made it easier. Formerly you needed a license to buy flowers. Now you do not.

• Lower grade flowers can be bought with Coins. Special flowers need special Credits.

Farmtown Tips: How Many Gifts Can I Send Per Day?

Farmtown Tips: How Many Gifts Can I Send Per Day?

The current limit is around 28 (this is determined by Facebook and may change on a daily basis). You can send a gift to the same friend twice during the space of a day (AM & PM) e.g. you can send 14 gifts to 12 friends in the morning and then again to the same friends in the afternoon, or 28 gifts to different friends once a day.

Gift requests reset at 12am PST (you then have a full 24-hours from that period to send your daily allotment within). Bear in mind that your neighbour requests are part of the daily limit that you have for sending gifts e.g. if you send three neighbour requests you will only be able to send 25 gifts for the day.

FarmVille English Countryside Complete Game Guide

Hello friends! I am sure that you have a lot of questions about the FarmVille English Countryside game.

Fortunately, the game creator, Zynga has the answers to your questuins. They have posted over at the official FarmVille blog an extensive list of FarmVille Q&A about the English Countryside in the game, giving us hot details about the expansion.

Here are the few questions and corresponding answers to let you advance in the game. Enjoy!

Q: Will our neighbors be able to visit our English Countryside farms? Will they be able to “help” on my farm?

Ans: All your neighbors will be able to visit you in the English Countryside to see your new English Farm, and we think you’ll be eager to show it off. They will also be able to help you by fertilizing your English crops, tending your chicken coop full of English chickens, and so on.

We’ve tried hard to make farming in England feel new and exciting, while preserving the gameplay our players love, and making it super-easy to get started and build your farm up right away. We hope it will seem fresh and fun, but also familiar and comfortable.

Q: Why do we need so many boards, bricks, and nails? I’m running out of room in my gift box.

Ans: You’ll need boards, bricks, and nails to build things in the English Countryside, just as you do at home, but if you’re running out of room in your gift box you probably have enough!

Q: Will there be new crops/animals/decorations that are only available on the English farm?

Ans: Lots! Almost everything on your new English farm will be something you’ve never seen before. Your second farm in the English Countryside will offer the chance to grow new crops like English Peas, King Edward Potatoes, Blue Bells, English Roses, and many others.

In fact, all the crops you can grow in the English Countryside are brand new.

New animals include the Shorthorn Cow, Shire Horse, and Dorking Chicken, but we think some of the most exciting new animals will be the sheep you can breed for yourself in your Sheep Pen.

There are some fantastic new decoration items, and many of the best ones can be earned as rewards for participating in the story to help the Duke’s village in the English Countryside. Of course there will be plenty of terrific things available in the marketplace too, but now players also have the option to earn some really impressive items through gameplay, without spending any Farm Cash or coins.

The amount of new content is truly amazing. We hope every player will find something to enjoy in the English Countryside.

Q: Will it be linear and task driven (aka quests), or will it retain a lot of the free-form creativity that is found in FarmVille?

Ans: The English Countryside will offer the chance to participate in a storyline with the characters who live around your English Farm. You don’t have to participate in the story in order to work on, decorate, and expand your second farm. We hope that players will like these additions and will enjoy engaging with these new features and earning the rewards they offer.

We think the rewards for participating in the storyline will really knock your socks off. We’re giving away unique decoration items like the English Police Call Box, great new avatar clothing and costumes to let you dress up as a Dashing Aviator or English Lady, and of course some shiny new animals like the adorable English Rabbit.

Q: Sheep breeding questions… Will the resulting lambs be able to grow up? If so, will they all be ewes or will some become rams?

Ans: You’ll be able to breed your own Rams and Ewes to create unique lambs with characteristics from both parents. You get to name each baby Lamb and have the choice to keep it or let a friend adopt it to raise on their own farm. When the lamb grows up, you can breed it as well, to create family trees and new combinations. Every baby lamb has a chance to be a Ram or a Ewe.

Baby Lambs will get their coloration from the Ewe, while the pattern will come from the Ram, but they won’t develop their full coloration or pattern until they grow up.

Q: Will only specific sheep be able to be bred or can we use any? Will it be similar to the greenhouse in which only certain pairs can be bred together?

Ans: Any Ram may be bred with any Ewe, which is something we’re really excited about. If you have a sheep on your farm right now, then you’ll eventually be able to breed that sheep in the Sheep Pen. You won’t be able to take your current sheep to the English Countryside, but once you learn the ropes of breeding sheep on your new farm, you’ll have the chance to build a Sheep Pen at home. Think of the possibilities!

Q: Will there be a lot of room [for sheep breeding], or will we be able to have multiple buildings?

Ans: The Sheep Pen will start with one “Breeding Suite” with the ability for players to expand it up to three. Once you select the Ram and Ewe to breed, that suite will be occupied for a day while the sheep “get acquainted”. You can speed the process along, and increase your chance of successfully producing a Lamb, by using Love Potions.

We think the expanded Sheep Pen will be big enough for most players’ needs, but like everything in FarmVille, we will pay attention to how you use it. If there’s a need for more space we’ll try to find a way to do that.

Q: Will we have to purchase the English Countryside with Farm Cash or add new neighbors if we want to play?

Ans: No! You won’t have to add new neighbors in order to travel to the English Countryside. Everything you need to do can be accomplished with your existing friends and neighbors. It won’t cost you Farm Cash, either.

We want all of our players to try farming in the English Countryside, so we’re making it as easy and fun as possible to get there. The deed to your second farm might literally fall out of the sky and land on your farm!

Q: Will this be energy-based like FrontierVille? Or will it be the same as FarmVille?

Ans: You won’t need energy or anything like it. We’re committed to keeping FarmVille’s gameplay just as our players have always enjoyed it. We want to add more ways to play and more things to do, without taking away anything you like about the game now. Farmers are some of the hardest-working people around, so they should never run short of energy!

Q: Will the English Countryside be flat like FarmVille or will it have some rolling hills and streams or maybe even mountains?

Ans: Your farm in the English Countryside will be surrounded by gentle hills and green plains of grass. We’re looking forward to hearing how FarmVille players like the new look, and we’re eager to hear feedback about it while we’re thinking about how to bring this sort of thing back to your home farm.

Q: Will we be getting new background music?

Ans: Yes! Farming in the English Countryside will be accompanied by all-new background music.

There you have it! I hope most of your questions are greatly answered. Thanks to Zynga for these great answers!

FarmVille English Countryside Tips: How To Turn Off The Pause Feature

Ever since the English Countryside has been released in FarmVille, some players were upset because of the Pause Feature that basically froze the inactive farm. Zynga has been working to offer those who want two active farms at the same time a solution and fortunately today it went live and I will share with you the guide on how to turn off the pause feature in FarmVille English Countryside Game.

Now, every time you travel between to your other farm, you’ll get a pop-up window asking you to confirm the travel request. On the pop-up, above the main buttons (Travel Now and Cancel), you will see a small link: Travel Options. Clicking it will allow you to select the pause mode: turn it on or turn it off, as you like it.

Also, the change that you have made will be visible on the pop-up where a play icon will replace the pause one on your active farm. However, have in mind that while both farms are active, crops will wither on both farms, no matter on what farm you’re playing!

Please share this post if you liked it, Thanks!

Barn Buddy Tips & Tricks: Barn Buddy Animal Tips

Barn Buddy Tips and Tricks: Barn Buddy Animal Tips

Animals and crops are your livelihood in Barn Buddy just like on a real farm. You earn Experience Points every time you tend to their needs, clean, feed, water, etc. Some animals will earn you Coins because you can sell what they produce. (eggs, milk).

• In general you will learn how to invest in high profit animals first, then add others.

• A Barn Buddy dog is crucial Either refer 10 friends (easiest) or use your accumulatedCredits. What the dog
does is protect your property from so called friends disguised as thieves.

• When you have a dog you cannot have your crops stolen or an bugs placed on your crops by these thieving
friends. If you own a dog, and someone tried to steal your crops, they get caught with a nasty Barn Buddy
Bite!

• The dog must be fed regularly, do not forget. Or it will not be inclined to "bite!"

• A cow is a staple and perfect for getting Experience Points for all its care, but you can also earn Coins for
selling the milk. Cows can only be bought with Coins.

• A pig only good for the Experience Points you get from the daily cleaning . No chance to bring home the bacon on this one.

• Chickens are an "eggstravaganza" for you! You get Experience Points for tending to their needs, and you
can get them to lay eggs every six hours. These you can sell for Coins.

• Sheep will give you both Experience Points and the chance to periodically sell the wool. No wool over your
eyes on this one.

FarmVille Pot of Gold Complete Guide

FarmVille is gearing up to fill our farms with gold by delivering the Pot of Gold – a new item and event that might look pretty familiar to those who have been playing FarmVille for over an year. However, since things might have changed since then, I have decided to create a new guide for the FarmVille Pot of Gold to help our Farmheaven friends.

You will receive the Pot of Gold automatically via an in-game pop-up, and you’ll have to place the Pot of Gold anywhere on your farm. Then, you can finally empty up your inventory of all the gold pieces that you have inside and redeem the pot of gold prizes. At the moment, there are just 6 prizes that you can redeem and we don’t think that any new ones will be released.

Here are the prizes that you can redeem from the FarmVille Pot of Gold:

- Kelly Green Hay: 1 gold pieces
- Clover Gnome: 10 gold pieces
- Clover Sheep: 20 gold pieces
- Clover Chicken: 50 gold pieces
- Lucky Fountain: 100 gold pieces
- Green Lighthouse: 200 gold pieces

If you need more gold pieces, there is a bunch of ways you can earn them.

Here is how to get more gold pieces for your FarmVille pot of gold:

- Receive them as free gifts from neighbors
- Ask for more from the Pot of Gold screen (click it on your farm, select “Look Inside” then click the Ask for More button).
- Harvest the Leprechaun Cottage daily (both yours and your friends’ ones give you gold pieces!)
- Claim them from the Facebook wall when your friends share them

And that would be everything about the FarmVille Pot of Gold event, a celebration that will give you back some really cool decorations! Have fun!

Killzone 3 Tips and Tricks: The Medic Class Tips and Video Tutorial

Killzone 3 Tips and Tricks: The Medic Class Tips and Video Tutorial

The Medic class in Killzone 3 appears to be one of the most underrated classes in the game, as most of the community plays as the Marksman and Infiltration classes. However, I feel the Medic class is vital for a team that plans on actually winning the match.

The video tutorial above gives a general overview of what the Medic class does and how I think an effective Medic should play. Hopefully, the video will also give some players an incentive to try out the class and see that playing on the defensive isn't as bad as one might think. Hope you liked this article, please share! Barn Buddy User Guide: Barn Buddy Experience Points Information

Barn Buddy User Guide: Barn Buddy Experience Points Information

Experience Points are the only way to progress through the game to higher levels. Be sure to do all the things you can do each day to earn those Experience Points.

• On the top of the Barn Buddy page is a total of your Experience Points. Place your cursor on top of the point ans it tells you how many more you need for the next level.

• Never pass up opportunities for Experience Points, do all the tasks they offer, every day. Every little bit helps.

• Plowing your fields can earn you three points per field.

• Water your crops each and every day.

• Unlike Farmville, crops in Barn Buddy do not die. So if you do not water, you will not lose your crops. You will get fewer crops to sell, but they will not dry up and die.

• You cannot over water, so too much water will not kill  the crops, so feel free to water and have your friends water as much as you want.

• You can not stock up on water by over watering on one day to prevent drying out the next. You need to tend to the farm every day.

• Spraying for bugs and weeds earns Experience Points.

• There are Daily Tasks for each animal.

• When it comes time to Harvest Crops or Animals you earn Experience Points and Coins.

• Do all of the above for your friends. The more friends you have, and help, the more points you can rack up.

• Use these Experience Points to buy decorations. Once a day you get a free decoration, but can only get it with a certain number of Credits. Decorations can add 10 or more points to your account.

See you in the next level, Enjoy the game!

YoVille Tips and Tricks: Cloning of Items in YoVille

YoVille Tips and Tricks: Cloning of Items in YoVille

Here is a YoVille cheat that some of our Famheaven friends know that works. I am sure you are wondering how people can afford all the very expensive items in their apartments. You might have read that cloning of items in YoVille is not possible, there are a few websites that claim it can't be done, but that is not true. There is a glitch in the interface that will allow you to clone any item. The process for cloning is hard to describe in words as the process requires a specific technique, but I will explain to you how it works.

Cloning items takes advantage of the game interface and the potential for slow down in the game. Start out by editing the room where you want a cloned item, make sure your item tray is empty and grab the item you want to clone and place it in the tray as the only item. Now, start clicking the item very quickly, while moving the mouse left and right as if you want to move the item along the tray. The fade out effect in YoVille will allow you to grab the item twice and dropping one copy in another cell in the tray. You will now be able to grab one of the two items and place anywhere in your room, and you can repeat and clone the item over and over. This is how one of our Farmheaven friend "Kelly" was able to get so many plants in her apartment, and also get enough sand carpets to make a beach. All for the price of just the original item.

As you can imagine, this technique will allow you to get unlimited amounts of items without spending any money, and you can build out your apartment with anything you might desire. There is one little drawback though, a cloned item can not be put back into your inventory, it will simply disappear if you try to move it to another room, trade it, or even sell it. So, cloning items works only for the room you're currently in, but if you can get someone to trade you their items for a little while, you can basically fill your entire apartment for free.

There is actually a video in Youtube that teaches every detail of this cheat but was removed du to Zynga's copyright claim. Anyway I hope you enjoy reading this tip and enjoy your game!

Killzone 3 Tips and Tricks: Move Tips Using Playstation Move Controller

Killzone 3 Tips and Tricks: Move Tips Using Playstation Move Controller

If you’ve got yourself a PlayStation Move controller, and although you have enjoyed some of its launch titles, you have found some of its more serious game applications to fall a bit short of what you expected.

But now you’ve heard rumblings that the Move controls on Killzone 3 work well and can’t wait to try them for yourself. If you have jumped on the Killzone 3 beta, or recently downloaded the single-player demo, then you have had the opportunity to play the game with the Move. There are various ways to play the game with the motion controls (one of which will be released along side the game in the form of the Sharpshooter attachment). But the fact is that the Move controls do work very well, even without the attachment, and with these tips you could play through the entire campaign using motion controls, without feeling the pain of holding the controller up for hours.

The mistake that we initially made when playing Killzone 3 with the Move was trying to hold the controllers up in front of us (like a pointer). We figured out that since the Sharpshooter attachment would work like a gun-pointer, we would do well to treat the Move like a pointer. While hitting my mark, we found that the vibration of the controller (much like a real gun) was shaking our controller, and our weak grip on the Move would cause the vibration to also rattle the crosshairs on the screen. While this did somewhat simulate the feeling of real shooting, it wasn’t very entertaining, and on top of that, our arm began to ache after a while.

Unless you’re planning on playing the game with the Sharpshooter device, a great way to set up for Move playing is to sit on your couch as you normally would when playing a game. Place the Move controller on your right leg and allow the rear of the controller to pivot on your lap or knee. Movement becomes more subtle, and this helps a great deal when turning within the game (by keeping your character from spazzing out on the screen).

Naturally, your Navigation controller will sit on your other lap (or wherever it feels comfortable, as its positioning does not reflect actions on the screen).

In-game controller settings will also play a major role and should be set according to your play style. Setting your vertical and horizontal detection to 0% begins your turning movement the moment your crosshairs begin to leave the center of the screen (there is a small buffer, however). And while this might initially make for some crazed head turning, allowing yourself to adjust to this (with subtle movement on your Move) will help you turn quickly as your round a corner, or should you find someone shooting at you from behind. I have found that lowering your turning speed to 20% also helps in preventing too much of the disorienting turn speed that at times makes your character overcompensate when an enemy comes into your crosshairs mid-turn.

After spending a weekend using nothing but the Move controller and these play-setups, I am convinced that I will be playing the campaign with the Move controls and hopefully jump online with it as well.

Hope this tips helps. Please share this post to your friends. Thanks!

FarmVille Animals: Irish Cob Horse & Shamrock Unicorn

FarmVille Animals: Irish Cob Horse and Shamrock Unicorn

Do you love unicorns? Well rejoice friends, It looks as though another variety of unicorn will be added to FarmVille in the current St. Patrick's Day limited edition item theme. This unicorn is of course green, with a cute bunch of shamrocks on its side. We believe it will be called the Shamrock Unicorn.

Another new animal also offers reason to become excited, as an Irish Cob Horse and Foal are apparently launching soon in the game as well. With its name, it's clear that this animal will also appear in the St. Patrick's Day theme in some fashion, although this seems like something more suited to a Mystery Game, rather than a store release (as store released animals tend to be a bit more whimsical than the Mystery Game animals). It is believed that you'll be able to place this Irish Cob Horse into your Horse Stable to have a chance at breeding an Irish Cob Foal.

Keep checking back with us, as we bring you all of the details about these new animals if and when they do officially release in the game. Thanks for reading!
