How to earn coins – There are a few different ways to earn coins in Barn Buddy. You will need coins in order to buy crops, animals, decorations, and other Barn Buddy items. Below you’ll find some of the ways you can earn coins in Barn Buddy.
- Harvest animals – Some Barn Buddy animals can be harvested to earn coins but not all of them. Once again, check out the Barn Buddy items chart attached to this guide to find out which ones generate coins.
- Harvest crops – Harvesting your crops is another way to earn Barn Buddy coins. Make sure you harvest them sooner than later because there’s always a risk of them being stolen.
- Help your friends – Helping your Barn Buddy friends is another way to earn coins.
- Selling gifts – If you have any Barn Buddy gifts that you don’t want you can always sell them to earn some extra coins.
How to earn credits – There is only one way to earn credits in Barn Buddy; filling out surveys and offers. The credits you earn will vary depending on the offers. Sometimes an offer will appear at the top of your screen asking you to install something and you will be rewarded with X amount of credits. Be careful doing this though; you don’t want to install something that’s going to compromise your computers security or annoy you.
How to buy credits – If you need more credits and want to buy them, click the Earn Credits link at the top of your screen. When the page reloads, you will see the various credits packages and options for buying them.
How to earn points – Points are required to reach new Barn Buddy levels and advance in the game. Below are some ways to earn experience points in Barn Buddy.
- Plowing Fields – Plowing your Barn Buddy fields will earn you three points per field.
- Watering Fields – Watering your flowers will also earn you some experience points.
- Spraying Weeds – Removing the weeds by spraying them with weed killer will generate experience points for you.
- Spraying Bugs – Keeping the bugs out of your fields by using the bug spray helps you earn more experience points.
- Helping Friends – Visiting your friends daily and helping them will earn you experience points both directly and indirectly.
- Harvesting Animals – Some of the animals will reward you with points when you harvest and care for them.
Barn Buddy shopping – To go shopping in Barn Buddy, click on the store icon and you’ll see the following list of categories.
- Crops– This is where you go to buy the seeds for your crops. You can choose a crop and a box will open to give you information on that crop. Then you can select to buy it if you are on the required level and have all the necessary coins to do so.
- Flowers – Flowers are very expensive and there are only a couple of types; regular and special. Regular flowers that can be purchased with coins whereas special flowers must be purchased using credits.
- Animals – Some animals can earn you coins and Barn Buddy experience points while others may only earn points for you. Make sure you check out the our items comparison table to find out which animals earn you coins/points and how much.
- Extras – In this category, you will find a Barn Buddy toolbar and bags of fertilizers. Remember that the weakest fertilizer can only bought with coins and all other fertilizers must be purchased using credits.
- Decorations – Like fertilizers, some of the decorations can be purchased with coins while others may only be bought using Barn Buddy credits.
- Holidays – This is where all of the holiday items are sold and where you’ll find some great discounts once the holidays pass.
- Premium – This category offers two dogs (Paris Hilton and Snoop Dog) that can be purchased with credits.
Arranging Barn Buddy items– If you want to arrange the items on your farm, grab the arrange tool at the top of your screen that looks like a cross with four arrows. Now grab one of the items you want to move and place it where you want it to reside and click the left mouse button. After you’re done moving your items, click the Save button located at the bottom of your window.
Hiding items – If you have items that you want to hide, click the arrange icon at the top of your screen. Once the screen goes dark, click the item you want to hide and click the hide button. Then click the Save button at the bottom of your screen to save your changes an exit the arrangement screen.
Leveling up – At the top of your screen you’ll see the experience points bar. Placing your mouse over the level bar will tell you how many points you need to reach the next level in the Barn Buddy game.
How to buy credits for friends – The Barn Buddy game provides the option of buying credits for your Barn Buddy friends. To do this, you will need to click the Earn Credits link at the top of your screen and scroll to the second section of the page. In that section, you’ll see your options for purchasing credits for your friends. Simply select the option you want and check out.
Changing preferences – When someone waters your plants, adds bugs to your fields, and completes other tasks, you can control the messages they see. To customize these messages, click on the preferences link, type what you want in the text boxes, and click the Save button. The next time someone steals an item from you or helps you out on your farm, they’ll see the customized messages that you’ve created.
Inviting friends – If you have friends that do not play Barn Buddy and you want to invite them click the Invite button at the top of your screen. Once the page loads, you will need to select the friends that you want to send the invitations.
Adding neighbors – To add Barn Buddy neighbors, click the Add More Neighbors button at the bottom of your screen and then select the people you want to add. Upon accepting your request, these individuals will appear in your neighbors list.
Visiting friends – You can visit your friends to either help them or steal from them. You’ll earn Barn Buddy coins and experience points by doing such things on their farm. To visit your friends’ farms, simply click on the friend that you want to visit. Below you’ll find a list of the various things you can do there and how to do each one of them.
- Watering crops – To water crops, select the water bucket at the bottom of the screen and click on the field that needs watering. The field will then be watered and you will be rewarded for doing such a nice thing for your friend.
- Stealing crops– If you want to steal your friends’ crops, select the black glove, place it over the crops that you want to steal, and click on your mouse.
- Spraying for bugs – If your friends have bugs in their fields you can use the bug spray to rid their crops of these pests.
- Adding bugs – If you want to play a trick on your friends you can add bugs to their fields. Just click on the bug at the bottom of the screen and select the field you want to add them to. Note that you can only add bugs to fields that have crops.
- Spraying weeds – You can spray weeds in your friends’ fields by clicking the Weed Spray link at the bottom of your screen and selecting the field(s) you want to spray.
- Adding weeds– You can also add weeds to your friends’ fields if you want. Just click the weeds icon at the bottom of the screen and then select the field that you want add the weeds to.
- Watering crops – If your friends’ fields are in need of water, you can click the water bucket and water their crops for them.
Sending gifts – For some reason, this game doesn’t offer that many free gifts you can send to your friends. Hopefully that will change in the future. To send the gift to your friends, click the Gift link at the top of your screen and select either the bunny, turnip, carrot, or corn. A box will open and you will see the list of friends. Check the box next to the friends that you want to send the bunny to and click the Send button.
Accepting gifts – To accept the gifts your friends sent you, click the Gifts link at the top of your screen and click on the Check For New Gifts button.
