Crops and Spaces In Farmtown

There are two ways to plant crops in Farm Town, both have pros and cons. The default way puts space around each "Field" This is good as it enables your Avatar (Character) to easily navigate around the field. However it doesn't make best use of the space in your farm.

The second method actually grew out of a "Soft Exploit" in which users found they could overlap fields. Although you're no longer able to completely overlap fields in Farm Town you still can align them directly next to each other. However the drawback to this is that your Avatar may often struggle to get around big farms... they'll get there eventually it can just take time!

To take advantage of this feature load up Farm Town. Click on the Preferences icon (Image of a spanner) and tick the "Remove Space Between Fields" tick box. Then when you next plough your farm simply line the fields up next to each other.

How To Make Farmtown Run Better On Your PC

I've been asked by some of my friends and neighbours on Farm Town how they can speed up their computer when playing the game. This video describes some the quick and easy things you can do.
First of all left click on your screen and set "Quality" to low.

Secondly go to preferences (Spanner Icon) and disable things you don't need. If you are visiting a big farm to harvest I always disable trees, buildings and freeze animals. Disabling trees also prevents you from accidentally harvesting someone's trees. Finally use a resource friendly browser like firefox.

How To Plow Multiple Fields In Farmtown

There's a new update in Farm Town and it introduces the ability to plow multiple fields. Regular readers of my Farm Town Blog might recall that I suggested this is exactly how multiple plowing might work back in June when the "watering" feature was introduced.

So how does it all work, well you click the plowing tool and you are presented with three options: x1, x2 and x4.

Photobucket

you then hover over the spot you want to plough and away you go.

Photobucket

This is going to be a real time saver for all of those industrial farm town farmers out there... though of course it will now mean you have more free time on your hands and might actually have to go and do some real life stuff, like wash the dishes, the kids or even yourself!

A number of my friends have however reported problems when farmers that you hire use these tools, often they don't get paid coins or xp and in some cases it deletes the harvested field and returns it to it's "grassy" state.

So now we just need to sow multiple fields!

How To Take Photos In Farmtown

Thats right a new update snook into Farm Town, one that allows you to take photos (Screenshots) of your Farm Town farm and publish them directly to your facebook profile in an album called "Farm Town Photos" The whole process is really easy... but I have some screen shots for you anyway!

Photobucket

As you can see the photo tool (nifty little camera icon) is placed along with the watering can and digger - just click it!

Photobucket

You are then presented with an image of your photo and may add a caption. Once you have done that click "next" to publish.

You then get asked if Farm Town can open the photo permission window - basically just click yes to all of the questions

Photobucket

Clic the green tick!

Now this was the bit that confused me - because the Farm Town photo tool works as an external application to Farm Town it opened a new window - as I clicked the green tick (Shown in previous photo) I thought my photo should show up straight away, but it didn't. But don't worry as there is one last step! Go back to your Farm Town window and you'll see this notice:

Photobucket

Once that is clicked you may go back to your facebook photos and see your farm!

Photobucket

And there it is, now the whole world can see your Farm Town photos - well ok maybe just your facebook friends!

Difference Between Neighbors and Buddies in Farmtown

Hey Guys, here's a review and explanation to tell you the difference between your farm neighbors and your buddies in farmtown. Well, In farmtown, it’s not surprising that the ways you interact with other players can influence your ability to develop your farm the way you want to right?. Unlike a lot of other games that fall into this category, though, Farmtown offers some unique features that greatly enhance the social aspect of the gaming experience. They can make it a little confusing at first, though, and so you need to understand between what you’re dealing with if you’re going to make the best use of the tools at your disposal. There are plenty of nuances to the way this system works, but what you really have to understand when you’re getting started in Farmtown is the difference between your Neighbors and your Buddies.

Here's The Basics:

If you’ve played other social networking based games before, you’re probably familiar with the concept of Neighbors. Your Neighbors in these games are people on your friend list who are also playing the game. You can exchange gifts with them and interact with them in other, somewhat limited ways. For instance, in Farmtown, you can visit your Neighbors’ farms to water their flowers and help out with harvesting, and they can do the same for you.

A New Category : Buddies:

Buddies, however, are likely something you haven’t come across before, but they’re a great addition to this type of social networking gaming. The main difference between your Buddies and your Neighbors is that you can add other Farmtown players in to your Buddy list without adding them as a friend. This allows you to bypass the sometimes tricky business of trying to determine which stranger you wan to add to your friend list.

Adding someone as a Buddy can be done anytime you’re playing Farmtown simply by clicking on their avatar and selecting the option of adding them in your Buddy list. Likely the people who wind up on this list will be people who you have met in the Market or at the Inn. They’ll be enthusiastic players like you – maybe someone you hired to help you harvest your crops, or even just someone who you struck up a conversation with at the Inn. Either way, adding them to your Buddy list will make it possible for you to see if they’re online at any given point, and it will make it easy for you to visit your farm.

Limited Benefits:

The main difference you’ll find between Neighbors and Buddies is that you can exchange gifts only with your Neighbors, but Neighbors do provide some other specific benefits as well that Buddies cannot. What all of this really means is that it’s good to have both Neighbors and Buddies, and certainly the groups can overlap. In fact, you’ll probably wind up putting a lot of your Neighbors on your Buddy list just so that you can keep track of whether they’re online or not. Just be sure to not rely solely on Buddies, as you’ll wind up missing out some significant bonuses in the form of gifts and special game play options.

See the difference now? Hope that helps. Happy Farming!

How To Avoid The Marketplace Beggars in Farmtown

Have you experienced it? To be chased by beggars is really annoying. Hire Me! Hire ! and whatever tricks they offer. Begging in farm town really can get on peoples nerves. The Marketplace can be an iffy place to visit with people begging, being abusive and using Farm Town cheats to trick you into hiring people.

If you get fed up of the marketplace but still need to visit it to sell your crops (though you can do from your storage) here's how to do it:

1) Click the connection button and disconnect yourself.

Photobucket

2) Visit the marketplace and Voila! It's empty and you can still sell your Farm Town crops!

Hope this helps. Happy Farming!

How To Play Farmville

Zynga has created a relatively new online game called Farmville. The purpose of the game is to create your very own farm to play with complete with crops, farm animals and various farm related buildings and to maintain your virtual farm.

When you first sign up for the game, you are given a small farm in which to plant various crops. You have a selection of seeds to choose from but before you can plant them you have to plow your fields. There is a plowing tool feature where you will prepare the ground for planting.

Once you have plowed the section of farm you would like to plant seeds in, you can go to the market where you will find several different seeds to plant. Choose a seed and plant them on your freshly plowed farm. The seeds will need to grow and the time they take varies for each type of seed. You will see the time constraints of each seed when you purchase them.

Since playing Farmville is mainly accessed through the social networking site Facebook, you can invite people to be your neighbors if they also play the game. You can visit neighbors and help them with their farms and receive experience points every time you do so. The experience points are given for visiting friends, planting seeds and plowing the field.

You will level up your play once your experience points reach a certain amount. Each time you level up you will be able to buy new items to plant or to purchase. Farmville also lets you give your fellow neighbors free gifts, which range from animals, trees and seeds to various limited items Zynga dreams up.

The game play of Farmville is fairly simple; maintain your farm by harvesting your crops and then plant new ones. You also have to harvest your animals and trees. The trees grow various items, which you will harvest for coins. The animals will give milk, eggs and various other items related to the animal.

In playing Farmville, you do have the option of expanding your farm to create an even bigger planting area but this takes time and effort to maintain. Farmville has recently added new vehicles that make plowing, harvesting and planting much easier and faster. You can use the vehicles several times before your gas can runs out. If this happens you will need to purchase more using Farm cash.

Farm cash is virtual cash that you purchase using real money. This virtual cash allows you to not only buy fuel but also special items within the game like homes and trees, etc. You do not need farm cash in order to play the game; there are plenty of free items available to make it a very enjoyable experience.

Overall, Farmville is a very fun game, once you get your farm going you will find yourself running back to check on it several times a day, it is that addictive!

Farmtown Strategy Guide

Another useful farmtown strategy guide that will help you with your effective gameplay in facebook's popular farmtown game.

The crop with the shortest harvesting time (grapes) still takes four hours for completion, where other crops (like corn, or most trees) can take three days. This results in a user unable to accomplish much after spending more than, say, 15 minutes of play, but willing to return to the game every single day, or even several times a day. There’s a psychological motivation at work here: a player who has taken the time to plow a field, purchase crop seeds, then plant those crop seeds wants to see the fruition of that labor– even if that labor only took a few minutes to accomplish whereas that fruition will require a 2-day waiting period. In this way, Farm Town minimizes the risk of gaining users who play for an extended amount of time upon first signing up but then later fail to ever return.

Photobucket

Items are locked until a player reaches a certain level

Much of a player’s advancement within the game depends on accumulation of activity points (which determine the player’s level), not currency; for example, you have to reach level 6 before you can purchase wheat crops, or level 15 before you can pay to upgrade to a larger farm. The desire to unlock new items by leveling up, then, continues to encourage a user’s gameplay (which, as explained above, tends to be more in terms of days than minutes or hours).

In this strategy guide in farmtown,
What could improve:
More limited awarding of currency within the game

Right now there isn’t a lot of motivation for a player to purchase extra currency, for two major reasons: 1) daily lotteries, the ability to sell the gifts that Farm Town friends send out, and harvest sales generate more than enough currency for a user to improve their game experience; and 2) even though certain items (buildings, larger farm spaces, ponds) cost an extremely large amount of currency that would take an extraordinary amount of gameplay to afford, users don’t even have the option of purchasing these until they level up, so the cost is irrelevant to new players.

Photobucket

A good strategy guide in farmtown,
It’s never a bad idea to keep items affordable enough so that new players can get an enjoyable experience from the start, but by making everything overly affordable, or by making it too easy to earn large amounts of currency simply through gameplay, users have difficulty in seeing the value of making a direct payment or completing offers.
Use trophies to encourage users to spend more

Right now, there is no point to the trophies. You don’t get activity points or currency for getting a trophy, and out of 8, only 3 are spending-related. Make trophies that are spending specific that ultimately cost an exorbitant amount of currency (e.g. “Buy 5 greenhouses!”) and that come with an exclusive item (e.g., a peacock) that cannot be otherwise obtained in the game.
Sort friends order by levels and points

Users would be even further motivated to keep playing and to have an attractive or impressive farm (via owning the more expensive items in the store, like ponds and buildings, which realistically would require the user to purchase extra currency or earn it through offers) if they knew that the higher ranked they were in the game, the more likely they would be to show up in their friends’ “top eight neighbors” space (currently the order seems to be based simply on how recently the friend was added). More visibility leads to more visits, and more visits mean more chances to show off a farm’s wealth.

What to keep in mind:
Exclusivity sells

In the absence of a dual-currency system, you should still try to find ways to offer users certain items on an exclusive basis. Users love being able to stand out; exclusive items help achieve this, and as a result users are willing to spend a great deal in order to obtain them.
Keep your virtual currency worth more in terms of real currency

If you price your virtual goods too low or you make it too easy for a user to accrue currency within the game, you make it difficult for that currency to be worth purchasing. Find that balance so that your users can get enjoyment without having to spend real money (or without having to spend a lot), but don’t give away the whole game for free.
Think long-term retention

Always find ways to keep your players coming back. A game that is interesting and can attract or sign up thousands of users a day isn’t worth much if none of those users continue to stay active.

Another Useful Farmtown Tips

A few Farmtown tips can help you turn your farm from a budding hobby to a beautiful and lucrative property. As you advance in experience and earn more money, more options are available to grow and beautify your farm.

Plant the right crops at the right times.
Crops take a certain amount of time to mature, but when they do, you have a finite window in which to harvest them. Therefore, it’s important to plant the right crops at the right times. Grapes, for example, mature in four hours; wait too long after that, and they’ll wither and you’ll lose your entire crop. If you’ll be able to log in after four hours to check your crops, plant grapes; otherwise, plant a crop that won’t require you to log in as frequently.

Store and sell crops for more cash.
In Farm Town, if you harvest and sell your crops immediately, you get less cash than if you harvest and store your crops. The only catch with harvesting and storing is that you have the additional step of going to market to sell your crops. However, going to market only takes a minute or two, and it can yield you a lot of extra cash, so always store and sell your crops. Don’t forget to go to market, though, or you can lose your crop.

Hire workers to make extra cash.
When you go to market, you perform two tasks: selling crops and hiring workers. If you hire workers to help with the tasks around your farm, you make 25% more on your crops than you would otherwise. Hiring workers also helps them to stockpile cash. If you want to make extra money on your harvests, or just avoid doing the work yourself, hire workers to earn extra cash and get some help around the farm.

Help your friends out for cash.
When you have neighbors on Farm Town, you can help them out in return for earning a few extra bucks. Sometimes, when you’re playing, a dialog box pops up saying that your friend needs help and asking if you’re willing. Otherwise, you can go to the My Neighbors tab to see if any of your neighbors need help. Simply follow the dialog boxes to help your neighbors out and earn cash. You may need to buy supplies in order to do it, though, so always keep a little cash on hand for the potential to earn more.

Buy items to earn experience.
Those decorative items you see in the store aren’t just for show. You can earn experience points by adding these items to your farm. Some of them can get quite expensive, but it’s a handy way to tap into more experience, especially at higher levels. Simply buy and place them on your property to receive the experience for each piece.

FarmCash is a scarce commodity.
Farm Town creators have added the concept of FarmCash to this computer farm game. You earn simple coins by selling crops and helping friends out, but those are stored separately from FarmCash. You earn FarmCash by unlocking certain achievements in the game, but there aren’t a lot of opportunities to earn it, so it’s a scarce commodity. Some items can be purchased only with FarmCash, so be careful how you spend it, or be prepared to fork over some cold, hard dollars in return for extra FarmCash.

Farmtown Etiquette

According To Forums and Suggestions and gathered in no particular order:

1. When in the market place it is best not to repeatedly ask for jobs.

2. When adding someone as a buddy don't do it as a one time only thing just to get work. Keep up the relationship it will be good for both of you.

3. If you visit other farms at random be polite and say hello. (I call these people my wee lil ghosties, they are forever showing up and refuse to speak to me) For those of us who are just as addicted to the Forum as we are to the game; when you visit a farm due to a post on the forum and the farmer is in please mention the specific thread or post that brought you to the farm. When visiting please do not do so simply to look for work. Seasoned farmers consider this the highest of insults. They love visitors who come for advise and ideas. Beggers most likely will be promptly ignored.

4. Please refrain from using foul or suggestive language. Regardless of whether or not children are present most of us adults do not appreciate it either.

5. If your buddies and neighbors are not online and you need crops harvested share the wealth, hire someone at random if your whole farm is ready.

6. When accepting work from someone you don't know be polite and ask which crops you may harvest. ie don't harvest treess if asked not to. Since the fruit does not go bad like other crops many like to leave the trees for color on their farm.

7. Only harvest those crops you are told you may harvest.

8. The report abuse button is NOT a toy. Use in only when reporting legitimate abuse.

9. The inn and the real estate office are not places in which to look for work. Go to the market place.

10. When asking to trade work please have actual work to be done that day. Do not accept a trade and disappear as soon as you are done or tell the other person you will not have crops ready for two more days. Many who play this game feel that is akin to stealing.

11. Please refrain from leaving derogatory notes on others farms such as telling them they should be allowing others to harvest their trees.

12. Try not to become upset if someone loses their connection and cannot hire you back. The connection issues are something we all face. It does not necessarily mean the person who did not hire you back is a scammer.

13. Offer the forum as a place for advise as often as possible. There are many people who do not know about the forum. The more who use it the better experience we will all have.

14. Remember many people go to full screen to harvest so they cannot see chat when you try to talk with them while they are harvesting.

15. Trade at your own risk. (sounds a bit harsh but is best said plainly, there is NO garauntee your trade will be reciprocated unless it is with someone you already know).

16. Be considerate when asking someone if they will add you as a neighbor. Since you have to be friends on FaceBook to be a Farm Town neighbor many will want to take their time before adding you. They will want to get to know you a bit better.

17. Hire at your own risk. (again sounds a bit harsh but also best said plainly), you have NO control over someone you allow to harvest on your farm. You take the risk they will ignore you when you ask them to leave certain crops alone.

Gift Glitch In Farmtown

We've all encountered a few bugs and glitches in Farm Town on facebook. Glitches occur in every game - visual glitches (related to graphics etc) most don't affect most gameplay. Yet Farm Town's most famous glitch (The field overlapping glitch) became so exploited that the Farm Town developers actually incorporated elements of it into standard game play.

Anyhow I thought i'd share this odd graphical glitch that I encountered.

Photobucket

Every Farm Town gift suddenly becomes a puppy! My guess at what is happening here is that my Farm Town gift list is so stupidly long that the system can't handle all of the "calls" to load in the images and has gotten "stuck" on the puppy. I really do need to sort out my gifts. If any of my Farm Town neighbors are reading this feel free to skip me when it comes to gifts for a week or two!

Most Profitable Crops in Farmtown

It is really very important that we know what are the most profitable crops in farmtown,  so in order to determine this,  I have made an Excel spreadsheet calculating the profits of all crops in a 4 day period (example: 40 harvests of Raspberry, 20 harvests of Grapes, 4 harvests of Potato, 2 Harvests of Tomato, 1.34 harvests of Corn, 1 harvest of Pumpkins). Keeping in mind that a Farm Town day is 20 hours, not 24. The numbers used were 15 for plowing (cost if you hire to plow), the price of each individual crop, the cost of the the seeds, and the price per 1 field when you hire someone to harvest for you (regular harvest price + 25%). These are the results from most profitable crops to least profitable crops:

1. Raspberry
2. Grapes
3. Pineapple
4. Pepper
5. Blueberry
6. Carrot
7. Onions
8. Cabbage
9. Peas
10. Sunflower
11. Rice
12. Corn
13. Pumpkin
14. Coffee
15. Potato
16. Wheat/Watermelon (same profit)
17. Cotton
18. Strawberry
19. Tomato

Raspberries are by far the most profitable, closely followed by Grapes, but because it is not practical to be on Farm town, harvesting plowing and planting every 2 or 4 hours, these are the 5 most profitable, and REASONABLE crops:

1. Pineapple
2. Peppers
3. Blueberry
4. Carrots
5. Onions

Even though these lists are for crop profit per 4 days, they apply universally for all harvesting times. These lists are accurate for all times.

In case you wanted to see the specific results, these are the # of coins you would rake in, per 4 days, for each crop. (keep in mind the different times: example: these prices are for 40 raspberry harvests, and 1 pumpkin harvest).

These prices are profit prices! With plowing, and seed costs subtracted!!!

1. Raspberry -- 1160 coins
2. Grapes -- 700 coins
3. Pineapple -- 436 coins*
4. Pepper -- 414 coins
5. Blueberry -- 402 coins
6. Carrot -- 378 coins
7. Onions -- 318 coins*
8. Cabbage -- 296 coins
9. Peas -- 294 coins
10. Sunflower -- 289 coins*
11. Rice -- 286 coins
12. Corn -- 283 coins*
13. Pumpkin -- 280 coins
14. Coffee -- 277 coins*
15. Potato -- 276 coins
16. Wheat/Watermelon (same profit) -- 260 coins
17. Cotton -- 255 coins
18. Strawberry -- 244 coins
19. Tomato -- 220 coins

*note that number has been rounded up or down 1 coin from a decimal.

So there you have it, all the list of crops with the most profit in farmtown. Happy Farming!

How To Rank Up in Farmtown Using Grapes

Previously, I wrote a post about how to rank up in Farmtown and  I have had a number of friends emailed me and disagree about which is the best method.

However on  what I wrote that the quickest way to rank up in Farmtown is with using hay bales, the maths proves that because you can buy a vast amount of hay bales in the same time it takes to plough, sow and harvest, the next best contender is grapes. Yes GRAPES!

Photobucket

Just to make it clear ranking up in Farmtown with Hay Bales is all about ranking up fast! It won't make you money. If you want to make money and rank up then you need to plant using grapes... which as I pointed out that are also the most profitable plants too.

However the drawback with planting Grapes to rank up is that you will become a slave to farm town, you'll need to log in every four hours and you'll need to cram in at least a minimum of three harvests a day... and even then your only getting 9xp per grape field over a space of 12 hours.

As I explained to a friend recently: Lets say you have a 10x10 farm and plan to rank up with grapes in the space of 12 hours you will earn 900xp. However on the same bit of land you could also put down 100 hay bales and earn yourself 500xp. See how it differs? Wait, 500xp isn't more than 900xp!

No it's not. But you are forgetting that it doesn't take 12 hours to buy 100 hay bales! Lets say it takes one minute to buy one hay bale (and that's far too long), in 12 hours you could plant enough Hay Bales to earn 3,600xp. Now that is a lot more than the 900xp you'd earn from using the Grapes on a 10x10 farm!

As I said before you'd have to have no social life to do either - however a clever combination of using Grapes, Hay Bales and some other choice crops could help you rank up in Farmtown quite quickly and without having to log in every four hours.

So the decision is playwise speaking, the decision and strategy is still yours on how to improve whats good for your farm.
Hope you find it helpful. Keep reading other posts and happy farming!

The Little Secret of the Blue Save Button in Farmtown

"Does it ever occured in your mind what does the blue save button in farmtown actually do aside from saving the game? " Did you ever wondered how to use the blue save button?

PhotobucketI know a lot of people are confused by the blue save button in farmtown and wonder if it's actually necessary to use it at all, if you click it you're often told their are no pending changes to be save or that pending saves have been made, so does it actually do anything and should you use it a little often? - the answer is yes it does do something and yes you should use it when necessary.

So that begs the question, when is it necessary to use the blue save button?

Here's the little Secret. Simply put it this way, if you're about to leave or log off from farmtown and the button is blue, press it before you go. It's as simple as that!

Little did you know that everything you do in farmtown is saved to a number of databases on the farmtown servers, but it's only saved every so often. I have no idea how often (though it seems to very regularly - every 30 seconds perhaps? it's a secret) but if you leave before it's automatically saved you could lose recent changes, or "pending changes" as farmtown calls them. I tested this myself recently after a number of people asked me what the saved button did. I sowed a number of fields, logged out (while the button was blue - indicating I was in between auto saves) then logged back on to see that fields were back to their ploughed state.

So yes the save button does work but the reason it seems rather redundant is that the farmtown autosave occurs a little very frequently.

So here's a tip. "Keep on saving". There's nothing to loose pressin that blue button. Once Again Happy Farming!

What Is The Use of Hay Bales in Farmtown

To all Farmtown fans heres an explanation why we need to use hay bales in our farm and what are its uses. In playing farmtown game your rank is decide by XP points (Experience Points). You gain XP points by performing various tasks, such as plowing, sowing seeds, buying objects & etc. You get 1xp point for ploughing and 2xp points for sowing seeds. Most people will rank up in Farmtown by ploughing and sowing. However the whole cycle from ploughing to sowing to harvesting takes time. The fastest result may had from the grapes, they take four hours to go from seed to harvestable plant. So planting grapes is a fast way of getting XP providing you plant and harvest at least twice a day. Oh and here’s a top farmtown tip, if you plant and harvest enough of them in a day they are also the "most profitable crops" in Farmtown too!

However there is something else you can do that earns you even more XP, however it will cost you money for using it. Maybe you don’t have the time to plant Grapes three times a day. However If you look at some of the objects you can use and buy in Farm Town you will soon realise that some of them reward you with quite a nice bit of xp. The trick was figuring out what object you could buy for the least money and the most xp, and what is it?

The Answer : Hay Bales!

Photobucket

Heres Why.

Use of hay bales are the quickest way to rank up in Farm Town. It’s not a cheat, it will cost you money, but it will help you rank up. Hay Bales use cost 50 credits, and they reward you with 5xp, they may also be sold for 6 credits, so you are going to lose 44 credits per Hay bale usage, but remember this is about ranking up in Farm Town, not making money.
The way this works is simple. Ask your self how long it would take to earn 3xp per square of your farm with a field of grapes compared to the xp earnt from a hay bale, the answer is four hours… now imagine how much xp you could earn from buying Hay bales in four hours. Lets say it takes a minute to buy and sell a Hay Bale, that means you could buy and sell 240 hay bales in four hours, earning you a whopping 1,200xp! And that’s based on it taking you an entire minute to buy and sell a Hay Bale.
Now i’m not saying that’s what you do, however it’s no hardship to creatively place a few Hay Bales here and there… and then maybe sell and replace them all every day or so.

Remember Hay Bales Helps You Rank.

This is no nonsense… have you ever wondered why Hay Bale messages are so popular in Farm Town?

Another Tip:
*technically Trees are the most profitable crops in Farm Town as you don’t have to re-seed them and the harvests never go off!

Photobucket

So now you have the idea of hay bale uses for your farm. Hope this helps a lot specially to all new farmers in farmtown. Once again Happy Farming!

Tips To Level Up Quickly In Farmtown

Hey guys! whats up? Just a question, so how are you in your Farmtown game now? Still having a hard time? Well heres something that I know it could change the way you treat the game. It's just a useful tip on how to level up quickly in farmtown game. So read on, read now, and act later....

These easy strategies and tips can help you climb the levels quickly in farmtown. You could reach Level 25 in less than one week! See the difference after...

When you reach the next level in Farm Town, your options expand. You can buy a wider variety of seeds, trees, animals, flowers, and buildings. Once you reach Level 15, you can start buying more land so that you can plant more crops. So, naturally, you want to level up quickly. Here’s how.

1. Plant mostly short-term crops.
These crops aren’t as lucrative, but you can get more experience. For planting a crop, you get 2 experience points per square. For plowing (or having someone plow for you), you get 1 experience point per square. You get 3 points per square for each crop cycle (plow, plant, & harvest). If you plant a 3-day crop, you will only get 3 points per square over those 3 days. That’s only 1 point per square per day.
But if you plant a 2-hour crop, then you can have five or six crop cycles per day – for a total of 18 experiences points per square, per day. Much faster.

2. Never do your own work.

Always hire people to harvest your crops; you can sell them for more money. Always hire people to plow your fields; it’s cheaper than plowing them yourself. Additionally, hiring a neighbor is cheaper than hiring a random person from the marketplace. So make a lot of neighbors, and hire them whenever possible. Make sense?

This way, you can save more money, which you can use for the next step . . .

3. Save up and buy buildings.

Buying buildings gives you a ton of experience points. Smaller items like animals, fences, scarecrows, and barbeques will give you a few points, but if you buy a silo or house
or barn, that one purchase can take you almost all the way to the next level.

4. Work, work, work for other people.

By harvesting for other people, you earn money
(which you can use to buy buildings). By plowing for other people, you earn a small amount of money but also, more importantly, you gain 1 experience point per square.

5. Play a lot.

This one’s kind of a no-brainer, but play frequently, especially if you’re planting short-term crops. You don’t need to quit your job or wake up in the middle of the night, but you do need to check your crops often enough that they don’t go to waste.

So there you go, you have just read another simple yet useful tips on how to level up quickly on farmtown.
I hope that you do make good in your farms. Just try to improve your game everyday (i know what its like, first time really sucks!).

Remember: "IF YOU WANT IT, YOU CAN HAVE IT!" Happy Farming...

Other Ways On How To Make Money in Farmtown

On one of my previous post I had discussed the most effective way to make money in the game. Now I'm going to discuss a few other ways on how to make money in the game. I will also discuss the benefits of having multiple accounts.

Trees

So, aside from harvested items, you can also grow fruit via trees. Below is a break down of the profit gained from each tree. The table below assumes that the tree is free so no cost has been factored in.

As you can see the profit of the trees is ever increasing. While it’s true that per acre of space they take up they can be more profitable then fields, trees that are closely packed are extremely difficult to harvest. At best you can border your property with them and gain a little extra income on the side (literally!).

Multi-Account Benefits
There are a number of benefits from multi-accounting this game.
  • Free Trees - Yep, that’s right. You can mail yourself the most profitable trees in the game competely for free. This is why I did not bother to include their purchase price above. Because you can pick, you won’t find yourself stuck with a bunch of worthless pine trees because a friend though they “looked nice”.
  • Free Animals – Wishing for a pet dog or a whole bunch of chickens? well, like the trees you can simply mail them to yourself for free. I will admit that this is only a cosmetic benefit. However, if it was something you were going to buy, now you don’t have to.
  • Free Extra Money - Each day you can tend the garden of your accounts and each account will get an extra 15 coins. Granted it’s not much but again it’s something for nothing which is nice.
  • Self Hiring - This is easily the biggest benefit next to the Free trees. You can hire yourself to harvest your fields. No more looking for people. What’s more you get extra money for hiring someone and you score extra money for being hired. Granted to gain the full benefits of this you will pretty much have to level every farm you have. But, given that the most profitable plants take 3 days anyway. You can stagger their growth making it so that the worst thing that happens is you get to play more then once every 3 days.
Getting Hired
This isn’t something I do much of myself. But I know some players who have made substantial amounts of money doing this. Basically just go to the market, bar or realty office and say that you’re looking for work. Provided that you’re not too creepy or annoying it shouldn’t take long for someone to pick you up. Just keep in mind that sometimes you’ll find yourself hired to harvest a single tree and that’s it. My recommendation is to not get upset with the person. If you’re friendly and polite then that person may put you on their friend list to hire you out directly at a later date.
Another strategy some people do to make money is to trade work. They’ll hire you if you hire them. Obviously, the risk is they will fail to uphold their end of the bargain. Players who regularly do this however, tend to get bad reputations such that no one will want to hire them for work. Also, it does prevent you from harvesting your own farm. My suggestion is to only do this when you can’t hire yourself or when you only have trees ready to be harvested. In this way you get the extra work without having to sacrifice as much.
I would strongly recommend that you not stand around spamming that you’re looking for work every 2 seconds. It’s extremely annoying to others and personally I go out of my way to not hire people who do this. Even if it means I have to wait longer to find someone to hire. So while it might seem like a really good idea. Trust me  it isn’t. Instead I would recommend standing some place where you are clearly visible and sending a request once every 1-2 minutes. This way people can quickly find you to hire you and you won’t annoy others in the market.
